My skin is really oily, dry, and it has a fair amount of acne!I want it all gone!!?

Macy Murphy Asked: My skin is really oily, dry, and it has a fair amount of acne!I want it all gone!!?

Every morning I use Purity face wash (I think its from QVC). Then, I use Benza Clin acne cream my doctor (not dermatologist) recommended because I have acne mainly in the t-zone. The cream is 5% benzoyl peroxide. Then I use Hope In A Jar moisturizer but it makes my skin look even greasier and shinnier then it already looks. So, if any of this is either not helping or making it worse please tell me. I want pretty skin that doesn't have acne, isn't oily, and doesn't get dry. I know it's a lot to ask but it has really made me feel insecure. I don't know if it matters but I am 13 and have had bad skin since I was about 11. I use the wash and acne cream every morning and every night. Thanks in advance!

You have what is called "combination skin". My skin is like this as well. One issue is that you are too young to use all the different products that you use. You need to find one product that addresses your needs. You should look for products that is designed for combination skin as well as an acne treatment. Neutrogena has a new line out for teens such as yourself that can help you. You can go to your local drug store and see what other products they carry that can help you.
The products that you are using now are too harsh for your skin and are doing more harm than good. You won't need those type of products until your late 20's.
Also, if you are using make-up, this is not good for you. The ingredients in make-up are also harsh and will be the reason why you have these unwanted blemishes. (This is why kids shouldn't wear make-up; your skin can't handle it.)
To ensure you have pretty skin, wash your face every night before you go to bed. Also, drink plenty of water. Going through puberty causes an imbalance with your hormones and this affects your skin. It's a part of growing up. Everyone, male and female, have to go through it.

Same here. I understand what you are going through. Here is my trick that I will share with you! Do you use alot of cover up? Well if you do this will help you. Ok, Every morning/night I get a wash cloth and I use iS Clinical. It is the first link under, "What's Your Source". You can get that off of iS Clinical.Com, or look for it at a drug store. After I wash my face with the iS Clinical cleansing Complex, I use a Stridex pad. I use a Maximum 55. I will show you a picture under "What's Your Source" The second one picture link. You want to rub that on your skin, it will take away the cover up or make up, that the soap didn't take away. That is better because most times, people don't wash off all their makeup, and your skin can't get any better. Also You will find that at your local Walgreens, Or Walmart, Or Shopko, ETC.After that I put on Clindamycin Phosphate Gel. I am 100% sure you can get that at your Walgreens. Now, dab it over your zits, and you will wake up in the morning happier than ever! I hoped this helped!
